Lately....

We've been hanging out at home, a lot. It's been cold and miserable outside.

 JJ, Eva, and I got a chance to go skiing, it sure was nice to see the sunshine! I was a beautiful day!!!

Christmas 2012

The holidays were very enjoyable this year. Spencer had two weeks of paternity leave, and four weeks of vacation, so he was home from Ana's birth until January. It was so nice to spend so much time together! We would teased the kids that, "Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again!" We had some of those moments when they didn't get a long, but for the most part we enjoyed quality family time! I'm so grateful that Spencer was able to take the time off! Hopefully we'll get a repeat in 2013! Happy New Year!

Happy 7th!!!

 This year having an infant near Christmas has reminded me of the feelings I had the year JJ was born. I am reminded that our little ones are truly a gift from our Heavenly Father. I love The Best Gift by Barbra Streisand:

I have four of the best gifts! JJ, Eva, Cy, and Ana!!! Being a mother is the most amazing job, experience, gift I know!

JJ has grown up so fast, he is such a sweet heart! JJ is kind, thoughtful, smart, creative, a good brother, friend, son, and respectful! He really is one of a kind! This year JJ started the first grade, has learned to multiply and divide, and has read many a chapter books. This year JJ participated in gymnastics, soccer, flag football, and basketball. This summer he became an excellent swimmer, an amazing rock climber, and is rapidly out skiing his Mom! This year he would like to learn to play the piano. I love seeing JJ learn and grown, I know that he can be or do anything he puts his mind to! Love you JJ!!! You are amazing! I am honored to be your Mom!!!
