Sign of a walker?

 Bruises... check
 Even more messes... check

Yep, he's on the move. Last friday he took his first steps, he's getting better and better everyday!

Summer Summer Summer Time

Last week the kids had swim lessons. This was the first time for Eva, I think it made her feel like a big kid. They both really enjoyed it! Miss Nancy couldn't believe how long Eva could hold her breath, I told her she's been practicing in the bath all year! After the week of swim lessons we went to the pool as a family. JJ jumped off of the low and high dive!!! He is pretty fearless! Eva was like a little mermaid, and Cy really enjoyed going down the slide (another fearless boy).

After a week of swim lessons we take the kids for ice cream! Lucky kids!!!
We had a few days of cooler weather last week, so we took advantage and went to the zoo. Cy actually saw the monkeys, he was pretty excited about it.

You know JJ's a climber, the door frame has long been boring for him, so he likes to climb the walls. At the park he climbs up the fire pole, and there isn't a tree he wont try climbing.

Random Pics of summer time

First & Last Day of School Photo
Eva had to get in on the action too!
JJ's last game of spring soccer
One last hooray with the Pratt cousins, and fort building with the Thain cousins.
Cy really likes to be on his feet, JJ enjoys the ride! :)
The kids got to go horse back riding at Aunt Diane and Uncle Henry's house. They had a great time, even Cy got in on the action! After we went out to dinner with Henry and Diane, it was so nice to spend time with them, those Colby gals have wonderful parents!!!
And finally, a little photo shoot for Dad, shhh! I don't think he'll see this before Sunday.

And Finally...

I've been trying to get the blog updated. I've gotten a post done for each of he kiddos, including this one...
That's right people, I'm pregnant. 15 weeks now, my due date is Nov. 22. Pray for me! :)
Cy and this one will be 16 months apart, so I'm going to have my hands full.

Bitter Sweet

JJ has been very busy with school, soccer, and gymnastics. I am looking forward to a summer break from running around so much, but the thought of JJ going to school ALL day next year is sad, and a little scary. My baby is growing up!
Here is JJ with Headwell, who is no longer with us, but it was the very first lizard JJ caught all by himself!

With the Pratt girls preparing to move to California we've tried to get some quality cousin's time. JJ and Lily had Kindergarten testing a few weeks ago, so they had three days off. The girls came over for the day, they had a blast, and it made me so happy that the kids had a chance to spend time together.
The soccer season is wrapping up, JJ has had a great season, and scored many goals.

Alex, Ashton, Tyler, and JJ at the zoo field trip.

Today we went to JJ's Kindergarten graduation.  I am grateful that JJ had such a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Bell. I knew he was in good hands this year, I just hope that he will have good teachers in the years to come. I can't bare to think of JJ being gone all day next year, but if he has a teacher like Mrs. Bell I'll feel so much better. I am so proud of JJ, and what a good kid/student he is. In addition to the recognition the teacher gave all the students, JJ received 2 out of 2 special recognition awards, one for reading, and one for homework! Way to go JJ! You excelled at Kindergarten!!!
