Long nights!

This past week was crazy! Spencer worked, and worked. I think he worked 60+ hours. The worst part of it all was that Eva had an ear infection, and I got sick. I ended taking her back in to the pediatricians office today, she didn't seem to be getting better. Sure enough, both ears are infected now-Wow. Poor girl. Well, she hasn't been sleeping good-poor mom. :)
After a long work week Spencer took us out on Saturday. We went out to lunch, then went to the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. After that we went to the mall, South Towne has an indoor play area- Dinosaur Theme. So we went there- it was all about the Dinos!

Here are some pictures of the kids, I took them in for JJ's 3rd year pics and Eva's 6 month pics.

new cut, another ear infection

This week I took JJ to get a haircut. One morning I said, "we need to get your haircut" well he got all excited and asked if he could ride the firetruck, so I went with his enthusiasm and headed to Cookie Cutters. It is the cutest kids salon, it's as fun a hair cut a kid can get. Well, when we got there the enthusiasm had died off, it took about 20 min. just to get him in the little truck to cut his hair, then he did fine. What an ordeal- I swear each hair cut comes with a dose of drama. On Sunday I told him I wanted to take pictures of his hair, well that was drama too.... see for yourself.

This week JJ has really been into "Firefighters". He has a book called "Fire" he has almost the whole book memorized, and he reenacts the whole thing again, and again, and again.
Here are some cute pics of Spen and little Eva. These pictures are cute, but Eva's been a little devil this week. Really whinny and a terrible sleeper. Finally I took her into the doctor on Monday, and she had another ear infection. That's her third, and she's only six months. Did your kids get tubes in their ears?
Oh ya- Eva rolled over this week!!!

A conversation

Last night as we were driving home, we were talking about how big the moon looked. JJ asked if we could got to the moon. I told him he we would need a space ship, and that we don't have one. Then he suggested a ladder. Then he said, "It would be exciting to sit on the moon, and have a party, it would be so exciting!" His face lit up with the idea. I thought it was so cute!!!

Some fun

Since I last posted we've had some notable events, Spencer's Birthday, Grandma Rosie's wedding, oh and the Utes won the Sugar Bowl!!! All of the Pratt's got together for the Sugar Bowl, my brother and his family came too. We had a blast, we were so excited with the win, neither Spencer or I got to sleep til after 2:00. Crazy I know. I spent tons of time this week reading the Twilight series- I think it took me 10 days to read all four books. I swear reading is an addiction for me. That's why I'll be taking a break, so I can get my life back in order.

Tuesday was Spencer's birthday. That morning JJ and I woke up pretty sick. Because of my own stomach issues Spencer cleaned up the floor and I gave JJ a bath. As I was sitting there I came up with a song for Spencer (he makes up songs all the time).
Happy Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday Dad
It is kinda sad
cause on your Birthday Dad
You got to clean up, clean up spew
So happy Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday to you!

In the afternoon we went to the court house for his Grandma Rosemary's wedding to Bob, her boyfriend of more than twenty years. Way to go!!! It was fun to be there for the special occasion. Afterward we went to dinner and enjoyed hanging out with the fam. Later my Mom watched the kids so Spencer and I could go to a movie.

Between tuesday and thurday JJ threw up probably a dozen times. Yea! Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I watched a little boy just over a year old. Boy was I glad we arranged to have a babysitter Friday night. It was nice to get a break. We went to another movie- Yes Man! It was pretty funny.

Here are some pics from the wedding.

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a Happy New Year! New Years Eve we dropped by the hospital on our way to our New Years Eve Party. We went to welcome the newest member of the Pratt family. Kris delivered not so little Baby Avery into the world around noon. Avery was not so little because she weighs 9 lbs. Way to go Kris!!! After we went to my brother's house. We had tons of fun. We didn't expect to stay til midnight- but we did. We even went out and banged on pots and pans.
This week has been nice, because Spencer has been home a lot. We've really been enjoying time together.

So JJ just turned three, and for the last two months we have been preparing him for operation No more thumb. He was a serisous thumb sucker. Well we kept telling him that when he turned three he was a big boy and he can't suck his thumb anymore. Well it worked. He has obviously thought about it a lot. Sunday we sat down to read a book, he was about to put his thumb in his mouth, but instead he reached his arm around Eva and said, "I'm three years old now Mom". Spencer came in a snapped a pic. I got thinking about how he used to ask can I suck my thumb and twirl my hair. I thought it was cute. He always had a funny turkey tail going on. So I frantically looked for a picture documenting this, and luckily I have one. I know it may sound silly, but I thought it was so cute. However we had to put an end to it... and so it is done.

Here is a picture of our little guys imagination at work. He was pretending to be a scuba diver- I know it looks like he should be skiing, but he's got a mind of his own!
