Stuck inside... again.

Last week was so beautiful, we spent everyday outside, and now we're stuck inside.
This was one of our indoor activities. It was fun to have him stamp with me, I was able to get a little scrapbooking done. I love blogging so when it comes time to scrapbook I can look at all the silly things the kids do. JJ has learned how to roll his eyes, it's hilarious. He says the craziest things, one day he said, "you've got to be kidding me." (that's exactly what I thought)
Eva got her first teeth last week, she got the two bottom front. As crazy as it seems, I'm looking forward to Monday- Eva is getting tubes. I'm praying that this will make her a happier baby. I'll keep you posted.

Kid Update

This week Eva started clapping her hands. It is so cute! For a while now she has been saying Dadda and JJ, naturally she hasn't said Momma yet. Why is it that kids always say Dad first? She has been on the move too, well conventionally- she will either army crawl backwards or just roll everywhere.

JJ is always saying the cutest things, but I don't write them down often enough. This morning he had the hiccups, and he said, "Mom, I will have hiccups for 4 hours and 4 years." I just thought, I sure hope not. He is really into time right now, he's always asking what time it is. I will tell him the time, then he'll say that he is going to tell Dad it's 3:30 when he gets home. Of course Dad never gets home at 3:30. JJ also really likes counting on his fingers. Especially his age- 3. But the great thing about it is he will put any combination of three finger up, and he'll ask, "is this three?" He is always right, I just think he wants the praise- so I give it to him!

Police Man

JJ loves to pretend. He is always pretending to be a firefighter, police man, engineer, pirate, Handy Manny, and more. Lately he has lived in his firefighter hat. He sleeps with it, and wants to wear it everywhere. Anytime we leave the house he asks, "Mom, can I take my firefighter hat." Saturday he wanted to take his police hat. We went to the Children's Museum. While there he pretended to be a firefighter, of course. The funniest part of the day was on our way home. We were walking through Gateway and we saw Spencer's boss, he asked JJ what his name is, JJ replied, "Um, Police Man." I love his imagination, he totally assumes a character. By the way, if he says he's a Police Man don't even think about calling him a Police Officer, cause he just might get mad at you. He's a Police Man, not Officer.

Confession

Ok, I confess, Eva is eight months old and today was the first day she wore shoes. Crazy, I know. I hate putting shoes on babies, it's ridiculous. They are hard to put on, and babies absolutely hate them. Today we went to Gardner Village, so I thought I would put some shoes on, so she might stay a little bit warmer. And I have to admit, I thought she looked adorable with them on. A friend in our neighborhood gave these to me right after she was born. The shoes were drawn by a local artist, they are one of a kind- pretty cool. Today was pretty windy, but warm. I can handle warm wind, beats snow in Georgia (sorry Molly :). I love when the weather warms up- I'm writing this blog from the comfort of my backyard- yah for wireless internet. We just got new adirondack chairs, we love to sit in the backyard and soak up the sun after the winter- ah doesn't the change in weather bring happiness! Well these pictures make me happy too!
