Ana's turning 1
This little beauty will be one in a few days. This year has FLOWN by! My little critters keep me busy, that's for sure. Ana has been crawling for sometime now, and she is really fast. For a long time she avoided the stairs, but recently took an interest. It was a sad sad day when I had to put up a gate. The only problem with the gate is, unless shut properly it is useless. The kids aren't great about securing the door shut, so Ana will sneak upstairs when she can. She is really good at climbing up, but gets into trouble when she turns around. She likes going upstairs because she knows where all the fun is… the toy room. Ana loves dolls and stuffed animals, and anything Cy is playing with. She stands up all the time now, and will let go, so she'll stand there by herself! I don't think it will be long before she's walking. Ana loves to eat, I think her favorite food would be strawberries, sometimes I can't get them cut fast enough! Ana loves the bath, playing outside, playing with the big kids, likes music, likes to dance and she loves the kitty. She has a few more words in her vocabulary, she now says: Mom, Dad, JJ, kitty, doggy, hi, num num, tickle tickle, and nana (herself). We call her Ana Boo Boo or Baby Girl. She self soothes by sucking her middle and ring finger. Ana is not the easiest baby, very demanding, she is fussy, but it doesn't take much to make her happy. She's always good for a smile, she loves to be tickled and play peek a boo. Ana has brought a lot of happiness to our family! We love you, Ana!

October
October has come and gone. We have been very busy, but we were able to squeeze in some fun time. One of our favorite family activities is going on a bike ride. We got a chance to ride the Provo River trail, and we stopped at Bridal Veil Falls. The leaves were gorgeous, the weather was beautiful and the kids had a great time. Eva was so excited that she got to touch the fish at the falls, she later told me, "Mom, I think the fish know I'm their friend because I want to be a mermaid." I love that innocent sweetie pie!
Pumpkin Carving Time!
Halloween was really fun this year. Class parties and a parade at school. One little mermaid, a dememtor, Yoda, little red riding hood, and Hairy Harry Potter. Cy was so much fun to watch trick or treating, he filled up his basket after one street, he sort of just helped himself. JJ ended up trick or treating for two hours. The kids had so much candy that Spencer and I had to eat it all! :)
Another bike ride!!!
JJ received the star student award for, "excellent knowledge in many subjects"! Way to go JJ!
One more bike ride!
I'm so proud of Eva for participating in Reflections!

Wrappin up Summer
Since summer has come to an end, I thought I'd so a little wrap up of the fun times we had this summer...
Spencer and JJ went on a canoe trip to the green river. These boys had a blast playin in the water. I'm so glad they we able to spend some quality time!
We went to the Bywater family reunion. While there we went to the community swimming pool in Brigham, it was so fun! Grandma Julia made ALL the kids a bow and arrow, and uncle Bryan carved sticks into pocket knives. The kids had a blast! It was fun for me to catch up with all my cousins. On our way home from the reunion we stopped at Antelope Island, we went on a little hike, and searched for wildlife. We had a great time.
Our last camping trip of the year was an adventure. It was Labor Day Weekend, so finding a campsite was difficult. There was a nice and muddy spot available, fortunately we moved on and found a good spot, but then the rain came. It rained and rained, Everything got wet inside the tent and out. Despite the rain the kids had a blast, they were sad when we decided to pack things up a day early.

A trip to Park City to ride the Alpine Slide turned into an adventure. On the way home we went through Kamas over the mountain to Tibble Fork. One sign read, "Dangerous Road for vehicles." Well we went on, we were off road for about 2 hours. The kids were getting bored, so we let them each have a turn driving, we were only going about 10 mph. We rolled down the windows so it would feel a little like 4 wheelin, I love how Eva stuck her head out the window and let her tongue fall like a dog. It was a long drive, but we had lots of fun and laughs! We had a great summer, we will be sad to see the good weather go, but we are looking forward to winter with excitement for another great ski season!

Lots of good times in the backyard, we are going to miss it come winter time.
