It's party time

Last week was a fun week. JJ's cousins Lily and Sicily share the same birthday. Luckily for us they had birthday parties on different days. For Lily's party we went to Bouncing off the Walls. It was so much fun. I think that Uncle Jason and Grandma might have had as much fun as the kids.

Spencer and I went out to dinner on Friday- avoid the Valentines rush. We did have a Valentines Day date, then afterward Spencer watched the kids while I got a pedicure. Yah! It was a really nice Valentines.
Sunday we got together with my family for the monthly birthday party. This month we celebrated Brian, Kody, Sicily, and Kiristin's birthdays.
I took Eva into the pedi again, another ear infection. Now we have to go to the Ear Nose and Throat specialist. To make matters worse (cause she's not sleeping good) JJ, Eva, and I have a pretty nasty cold. Boy am I ready for spring!!!

Changes

Have you noticed any changes? Spencer and I have noticed the sound of birds, and the return of our resident squirrels. We have a bird feeder right outside our kitchen window that the birds have been frequenting, I had to put some more seed out today. We love our visitors, we even like the squirrels, as long as they don't get in our attic. Unfortunately the last few years they have found a way inside the attic, the scratching can be really annoying, especially at 3:00 in the morning. I hope this year will be different.

Ok- I hate posting pictures of myself, but Spencer said I had to blog one.
Notice anything different in this picture?

Well I've had long hair nearly all my life. This past year my hair has been getting progressively shorter, and last week I went for it. I got about six inches cut off. It's the first short haircut I've had since I was a toddler.

Spencer went on a quick trip to California he got back on Friday, that night we went to the U of U gymnastics meet. JJ had fun doing somersaults before we left, but while we were there he said he was scared. There were a ton of people there, and he didn't like it when everyone cheered. Nether did Eva, I stayed out with her almost the whole time.

Typical Monday

Yesterday was like every monday... Ran errands- Target, Costco, and after Target didn't have something I needed I had to go to Dan's too. When I got home the real work began. Do you feel like your house is turned upside down after the weekend? Aaaaahh!!! It drives me crazy, every monday I try to put the house back together, I don't know if it's because Spencer is home during the weekend, or that we're in and out all weekend, but it happens- without fail- every week. Is it just me? Is there some way to avoid this crazy catastrophe? It drives me nuts!!!
Well I did take the opportunity to take so pics of the kids. Our house is west facing, so we get some great natural light in the afternoon, I love taking advantage of the lighting- perfect for pics.
I think all kids love being tickled, but Eva loves being tickled by JJ. I can tickle her and she laughs, but when JJ tickles her she giggles and giggles and giggles. It's so cute! I'm so lucky- both kids truly love each other, I think they'll be best friends!
