It's Great to be 8!!!

JJ was baptized on January 11. We are so proud of JJ, he is a good boy, he has his own moral compass, he always strives to choose the right! Spencer and I talked the other night how good our kids have been lately. JJ and Eva have been saying very thoughtful prayers, helping out, they have had less screen time, and they have been reading the scriptures with Dad regularly. The kids seem to be a little happier lately, and I know that when we choose the right we are happy, good job kiddos!!!
On a side note: I wanted to share what Cy says in his prayers, pretty much daily, "Heavenly Father, Bless we go to Grandma's house. Amen." I love it!!!

Slow Down

January has been a bit of a doozie, especially for Cy. He started the year with a cast. He pulled out some of his casting material, which led to the cast rubbing his arm, which caused a rash, which ended up getting infected. Then he was treated with antibiotics, last Friday I noticed the early signs of erythema multiform, which JJ had almost 7 years ago. It is an allergic reaction to amoxicillin. When JJ had it his pediatrician could not diagnose it, after the third day we took him to Primary Children's. What  we learned is it is easily treatable with allergy medicine. Cy is over that now, however everyone in the house is SICK!!! Therefore, I've not had a lot of energy, so I've been taking time to get caught up on things like bills, emails, the blog, and such. With February around the corner I hoping for snow, yes snow, I'd rather have snow than the inversion, and I'm hoping that the sickies have had their turn with us!!!

The Holiday Season

well the Holiday Season has come and gone and life is slowly returning to normal. My normal is pretty chaotic, but I always have to remind myself to enjoy it. And to document it! I am #6 in my family, I think that with each child we take fewer pictures and we are less diligent documenting our children's lives. So I will once again resolve to document my families lives right here...

Let the parties begin! Ana turns one.
